Serie A

Serie A is the top professional football (soccer) league in Italy. It is one of the most prestigious football leagues in Europe and is organized by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC). Serie A features a number of historical and successful clubs, including Juventus, AC Milan, and Inter Milan. The league operates on a system of promotion and relegation, meaning that the lowest-performing teams are relegated to Serie B, the second tier of Italian football, while the best teams from Serie B are promoted to Serie A. Serie A typically consists of 20 teams that compete in a round-robin format, where each team plays the others twice, once at home and once away, accumulating points for wins and draws. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion. Serie A is known for its tactical gameplay, strong defending, and has produced many of the world’s best players and coaches. It has a rich history, dating back to its establishment in 1898, and continues to play a significant role in European football.
