La Liga

La Liga is the top professional football (soccer) division in Spain, officially known as the Primera División. It is contested by 20 teams, and it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Segunda División. Established in 1929, La Liga is recognized for its high level of competition and has produced some of the world’s best football clubs, including FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.
